Renovation of a property in Bilbao Bizkaia, where half of the dwelling sits at 1m lower than the other half.
Taking advantage of this unevenness, we designed a feature sofa space that can be covered or revealed by a lifting or lowering a portion of the floor.
The bespoke feature is made of a metal structure covered in wooden panels. A cable is hung from the ceiling and controls the opening or closing of the sofa area through a pulley system.
